Complete sell out @ Bar Bloc. Probably the best night we ever put on…

Words of my friend “Andy Carling”,

So, there you have it ladies and gents…..The Willow Festival WILL be making a welcome return to The Embankment next year! Huge thanks you all who supported the campaign by joining the Facebook groups and signing the petition. Your support has been invaluable. Also, a massive thanks to Mark Ringer whose persistance and negotiations with Peterborough City Council has brought all this about. Without him there would be no Willow Festival next year.
If you want to keep updated of any developments regarding next years event please head over to the new Willow Festival Facebook group….

Thanks everyone and I’ll, hopefully, see you on The Embankment next year.

Hello my name is MLT, well that’s not technically my name, but that what I’m going to tell you it is.

Also I’m not technically a resident of Diesel City, I actually live roughly 21.8 miles about 30 minutes (depending how you drive) away in a town called March.

There’s not a lot to do in March town really just drink.

.

Some people like to drink and take drugs.

Which here always leads to.

So as you can imagine it’s just like any where else you can live, just really, really small.

What we have started to get over the last month or so, is a bigger interest in having some alternative places to go for alternative evening entertainment. This has spawned a night put together by 2 local lads, 1 who i know a little and one i have no idea who he is, but all the same there trying to push out for a night in my town that’s a little better then listening to the top 40 down the local meat market nightclub so big up to them.

The night they put is called Salvation and they had there first night a few weeks back, they were mainly spinning Dub Step and a splash of Electro House. It did fairly well for a first time event roughly about 140 people turned up and enjoyed themselves. The organisers said that if it went well then they would be up for adding a second room to their next event, expand it out a little and give something for the drum & bass heads of this town. If that happens I’m going to attempt to charm who ever is needed to stand behind the turntables for an hour of that night.

You can check out a mix i did recently here and leave me some feed back if you wouldn’t mind on whether to turn on the charm, or just pack up and go home now.

Hope you enjoy.

MLT

Its that time again and its our 3rd year at SORTED… Remember that quiet Saturday walking through Peterborough town centre when your day was ruined by deep bass dubstep, graffiti demonstrations and breakdancing. Yes!?! Thats us and were back!

There’s plenty of sets lined up playing Hip Hop, Dubstep, Funk, Reggae and Soul along with performances from Dead Poets, Menace and Skeptik. Also throughout the event there will be live graffiti from Nyces and also breakdancing all day!

Pirated this info from OVERGROUND ARTS

Overground is a not-for-profit event that aims to support Peterborough’s growing art scene.

The annual live art event sees a wide variety of new work by talented local and national artists, being created and performed live in a festival atmosphere. With graffiti and street art being a staple of this event, you can also dine on tasty morsels of performance art, illustration, poetry, craft like you’ve never seen it before, sculpture, music and a whole load more.

So anyone with a skill can register to perform or exhibit and we encourage a collaborative approach to the work.

Our ultimate goals are to get artwork out to audiences, encourage artists and performers to push creative boundaries and learn about new styles and disciplines and to encourage new talent to develop in the city. We also aim to help artists promote and sell their work… oh yeah, and have lots of fun doing it!
