About Locality1

Welcome to the locality website. In late 2007, a group of us from Peterborough met together for a drink with the idea of fusing all elements of our own interests in Hiphop, Drum n Bass, Beatboxing, Breakdancing and Graffiti into one showcase event. After hours, days and weeks of ideas and lots of silly names… Locality was born.

The original concept was to give Peterborough a local showcase of its underground talent, a few years on we are still going stong supporting the local scenes artists and now further afield bringing such names as DIRTY DYKE + EDWARD SCISSOR TONGUE, BABY J with ALEX BLOOD + JUN TZU, DR SYNTAX + STIG OF THE DUMP with DJ MANIPULATE, DR ZOOTS with DJ FISH, SKINNYMAN, SKUFF + INJA, SINISTA6, JEHST + MICALL PARKNSUN + JOKER STAR with DJ JAZZ T, LOWKEY, TASKFORCE (Ft. CHESTER P, FARMA G, LOUIS SLIPPERS, INJA and REMUS), DMC UK REGIONAL HEAT…

Its now 2011, the team has a changed a few hands and we are bringing a new concept to Locality1. We are opening the site out to Peterborough’s artists, promoters etc to try create a central hub capturing Peterboroughs urban culture.
